The Fulfillment of the Law
Mathew 5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.”
Jesus did what sinful man could never do and took the sentence of condemnation and death by the law upon himself for all men and fulfilled all the requirements of the law and fulfilled the promise of God given through the Prophets .
Rom 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”. Romans 8:1 -2 “ there is therefore now no condemnation (Judgment of death) for those that are in Christ Jesus because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death”.
