2 Peter 3:14 – 18 Day 41

Day 41

2 Peter 3: 14 – 18 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation–as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.

You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen

We are the beloved! We are beloved of God, of Jesus, of one another and all who are of the family of God, because we have put our faith in Jesus. We all together are looking forward to the day of the Lord, and our earnest desire should be to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless, for we do know that “the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation”. Jesus has taught, Peter, Paul and the apostles have confirmed these truths and Peter again warns us to beware of those who would try to “lead us away”.

Let us all remember these things and be attentive to Peters warning that we may steadfastly continue to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”.

May we continue with Peter to remind one another of these things and also to share the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus with our unsaved friends, family, and neighbors, by obeying Jesus command to “go and make disciples”.
